Live events and Meta advertising

Finding the audience for a slow-selling comedy show

A limited budget did not leave room for broad, hopeful advertising. I used the comedians already on the bill as the starting point, identified the audiences most likely to respond and translated those groups into focused local segments.

Challenge

A poorly selling show with little budget and a fixed event date.

Response

Audience definition, local segmentation, tailored creative and targeted Meta campaigns.

Outcome

The show sold out using a total Meta advertising budget of £100.

Email, segmentation and ecommerce

Creating urgency without sending generic sales emails

A wooden giftware business needed sales quickly. Rather than send one message to everyone, I considered who was buying, why they might buy now and which creative and copy would feel relevant to each segment.

Challenge

Generate immediate revenue from an existing customer audience.

Response

Customer segmentation, purposeful copy and creative tailored to each campaign.

Outcome

More than £6,500 in one week, the company’s strongest sales week at the time.

ORGANIC

Web, search and ecommerce

Modernising a 3,500-product ecommerce presence

The website needed to look credible, make a very large catalogue easier to navigate and become more visible in search. The redesign treated trust, usability, SEO and AI search visibility as connected parts of the same job.

Challenge

An outdated large-scale ecommerce site appearing around page four for an important search.

Response

Modern design, clearer structure, SEO practice and Answer Engine Optimisation principles.

Outcome

A modern site that reached the second organic result for an important search and began appearing in AI answers.

How I approach the work

GOOD WORK STARTS
WITH GOOD QUESTIONS.

The tools change. The job is still to understand people, remove friction and give them a reason to care.

01

Find the real problem

A request for social posts might actually be a positioning problem. A website problem might really be a trust problem. I look underneath the brief.

02

Make it relevant

Segmentation, tone and creative choices should come from the audience, not from whatever format happens to be fashionable.

03

Measure what matters

Attention is useful when it leads somewhere. I connect the creative work to sales, enquiries, trust, growth or time saved.
