Consistency at catalogue scale

Every product deserved useful words.

I wrote every description across a 3,500-product ecommerce catalogue. Each page needed accurate, distinctive content that helped the customer understand the item while supporting the wider brand and search strategy.

Large-volume writing is not permission to become generic. The challenge was maintaining clarity, tone and purpose across thousands of individual buying decisions.

Product research changed the story

The product was not wrong. The angle was.

Sometimes better copy begins by questioning what the business thinks it is selling.

Original positionBirthday gift

A gift-company product was being presented for birthdays, but the listing struggled to connect with buyers.

Researched positionMemorial gift

Product and customer research showed a much stronger role as a condolence or remembrance gift.

From poor performer to top seller.

A simple repositioning changed who the product was for, why it mattered and the language customers used to find it. The revised listing became the company’s top-selling product.

Modern tools, human responsibility

AI can save time. It cannot own the work.

I use appropriate tools where they make the process more efficient, but I do not outsource the thinking or hand clients generic machine-written filler.

The human part stays human.

Judgement, research, writing and, most importantly, accountability remain completely human. I am responsible for what the copy says, how it sounds and whether it is fit to publish.

A proofreader before I was a marketer.

I worked as a transcriber throughout university. Years spent listening closely, preserving meaning and catching errors gave me an exacting proofreading instinct that still informs every draft and final check.

Straight answers

Copywriting FAQs.

Every project is different, but the work always begins by understanding the audience, brand and job the words need to do.

Can you rewrite copy I already have?

Yes. I can edit, restructure, sharpen or completely rewrite existing material, preserving what is useful while addressing gaps in clarity, tone, evidence and customer focus.

How do you learn the tone of voice?

Discovery depends on the project and can include interviews, existing materials, competitor research, customer language, keyword research and brand workshops. The goal is to understand how the business should sound before filling pages with words.

Do you write SEO website copy?

Yes. I can combine keyword research, page structure, metadata thinking, internal-link opportunities and useful copy, including content designed for conventional and AI-powered search discovery.

Can you write a large number of product descriptions?

Yes. I have personally written descriptions for a 3,500-product ecommerce catalogue. Large projects need a clear content system, accurate source information and controlled consistency rather than mass-produced filler.

Do you use AI to write client copy?

I may use modern tools where appropriate to support efficiency, but they never replace human judgement, research, writing or accountability. I remain responsible for every piece of copy delivered.
